HONEYDUE
Honeydue is a finance app for couples. The app allows expense tracking and splitting, goal setting, and budgeting to help couples support their financial health.

Project Goals
For this three month project, our team of two UX designers set out to explore how couples
communicate about money, and what
features would best support them as they wrangled with money issues in their relationships.
Key Research Takeaways
We interviewed 4 couples and 3 single members of couples who were all currently using Honeydue for their financial planning. When we spoke with couples, we interviewed them both separately and together.
Talking about money is hard
- People aren't taught how to talk about money
- It can be embarrassing because it's so personal

Design Solution
It was clear from our research findings that adding additional communication methods within the app would further help couples keep track of their finances with less stress, tension and embarrassment.
Include an in-App chat feature
- Allow couples to chat about their finances in the App
- Dual function of providing more value and encouraging additional time in app
Easily retain context
- Chat's proximity to the transaction helps reduce back-and-forth
- Reduces communication tensions with increased clarity
